Devlog #2: Enhancing the World of NaturesAscendancy
Performance Optimization:
Our commitment to providing an immersive experience has driven us to push the boundaries of Unreal Engine 5. However, with such high fidelity comes the challenge of optimizing performance, especially for players with lower-end hardware. We're continually fine-tuning the game to ensure it runs smoothly across a range of systems.
Multi-Core Support:
One of our recent breakthroughs was achieving full multi-core CPU utilization. NaturesAscendancy now efficiently utilizes all available CPU cores, providing a seamless gaming experience without bottlenecks.
Enhanced Rendering
We've implemented an efficient rendering system that only processes objects within the player's field of view (FOV). This optimization significantly reduces unnecessary calculations, resulting in improved frame rates and smoother gameplay.
Seamless Loading
To eliminate in-game hiccups, we've adopted a preload approach, loading the entire game map into RAM. This ensures uninterrupted exploration and immersion for players as they traverse the vast world of NaturesAscendancy.
